The Galentines are an all-girl indie-rock band who are the very heart of the local music scene in Boulder, Colorado. They are known for their stunning harmonies blended into epic instrumental solos that remind the listener of classic rock bands such as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd, while maintaining their punk edge with biting lyricism. Their music “celebrates the complexity of womanhood, capturing all of its challenges and triumphs” (Medium), while breaking the barriers that define the female experience. Encompassing multiple genres, including indie, punk and rock, the girls just released their heavily anticipated single Eden, which is now available on all streaming platforms.

Formed in 2023, Theoretical Blonde is a five-piece bluegrass-adjacent band from Salt Lake City with a sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly unexpected. Its members include Peter Cain (mandolin, vocals), Ford Huntington (guitar, vocals), Grayson Wickel (fiddle, banjo, vocals), Patrick McNally (bass, vocals), and Daniel McNally (keys, vocals). Despite the name, none of the band members are actually blonde—a small but intentional misdirect.
What is true is that their music draws from bluegrass, jazz, Americana, country, jam band, and singer-songwriter traditions, blending these influences into a dynamic, energetic mix. With the addition of keys and electric bass, the band expands the traditional bluegrass palette, creating a fuller sound that’s equally at home with intricate picking, laid-back grooves, and exploratory improvisation.
Released on December 1, 2025, No Brainer is the band’s debut full-length album and a clear statement of range and intent. The record moves fluidly from intimate, songwriter-driven moments to high-energy, driving bluegrass, while also leaving room to flex the group’s various other influences. Rather than settling into a single lane, Theoretical Blonde approaches the album the same way they approach their music as a whole—following what feels genuine, without worrying too much about where it fits into the larger landscape.
